Old Mansions in Konstancin: Villa Maryla

"Villa Maryla" is one of a total of eight listed villas in the street "ul. Henryka Sienkiewicza". The property with the house number 19 was built in the early 20th century by Józef Pius Dziekoński as a upscale guest house. Apart from Villa Jakubówka in Józefów, it remained his only villa project; the Warsaw architect designed mostly sacral buildings in Mazovia. The house on a rectangular ground plan has a central tower risalite with two balconies and steep tent roof. Besides eclectic and neo-Gothic forms, one can see the typical wooden porches in Świdermajer style.

In the post-war period, the building passed into municipal ownership, several apartments were built and rented. In 2022, this architectural gem is no longer inhabited and in need of renovation.
